A native of Swansboro North Carolina, I attended many schools as our family followed our Army Dad around the world. The summer before I started high school I moved back to Swansboro, lived with my grandparents and started high school at Swansboro High. The rest of the family moved home the following year and I graduated from Swansboro in 1974.

After high school I joined the United States Coast Guard. After a 25 year career I retired as a CWO4 and am how living back in Swansboro. During my career I was stationed in the following places.
